About US Elite

Vision/Mission

US Elite Baseball is about the total development of the player. Our most important goal is to help our players reach their fullest potential, both on and off the field.

On the field we compete at the highest levels in the country. We teach confidence, a winning attitude, process, managing failure, professionalism, strategy, preparation, energy, and being a great teammate. Off the field we emphasize academics, leadership, communication skills, accountability, character, honestly, community service, US history, military appreciation, entrepreneurship and work ethic. We accomplish all of this with outstanding leadership from our coaches and mentors, as well as a vast network of successful people.

We set the standard high and we keep it high. When you watch a US Elite Baseball team play, there is no mistaking it. When you meet a US Elite Baseball player, you know it.

Co-Directors

Bill Goudy

Bill Goudy is a driving force behind the U.S. Elite organization, devoting over eight years- he oversees the Mid-Atlantic division, consisting of 10 teams that draw players from Delaware, Maryland, and West Virginia. His baseball journey began in his early 20’s playing JUCO and was reignited in his 30’s. Now, he coaches high school players at The John Carroll School and owns Absolute Sports Performance, a strength-conditioning facility with a baseball focus. Goudy’s first U.S. Elite Team was a 2021 graduating team that saw all 21 players go on to play college baseball and four drafted in the 2024 MLB. Currently, over 180 players he has shared a dugout with have gone on to play college baseball. His 2023 US Elite team achieved remarkable success, winning the Underclass Championship at the 2021 Pathway event in Richmond, VA, but for Goudy, coaching is about more than winning games, it's about shaping young men and setting them up for success. He focuses on open communication, trust, and honesty, encouraging players to embrace failure, play with confidence, and never stop learning.

Ben Pierce

Ben Pierce, a key figure within U.S. Elite’s Mid-Atlantic division, and proud Pennsylvania native, distinguished himself early on, earning All-W.P.I.A.L. honors in 1983 and 1984, Pennsylvania All-State accolades in 1984, and a place in the Penn Hills Sports Hall of Fame in 2014. His playing career spanned collegiate success at Pensacola Junior College and Birmingham Southern before being drafted by the Royals in 1987. Pierce’s baseball career includes five seasons as a left-handed pitcher in the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers organizations before beginning coaching in the late 1990s. His experiences translated directly into his coaching style- starting as Assistant Head Coach and Pitching Coach at Penn Hills High School. Since then, he has held head coaching positions at Hickory Baseball, Blue Chips Baseball, and Archbishop Curley, focusing on developing players’ skills and character. Today, Pierce is an integral part of USA Baseball, serving as a Pitching Coach and Task Force member for National Team Selection. He also acts as Varsity Baseball Head Coach at The John Carroll School and as Co-Director and Head Coach for U.S. Elite Baseball- helping build a 10-team powerhouse that embodies the organization’s core values. Committed to helping players succeed in baseball and life, Pierce continues to bring passion, insight, and unwavering dedication to every team he leads.

Success Stories

Carrie and Marty Dulski

"Chad, Scott and Jim couldn't have been more welcoming as were ALL of the players and parents.  Chad, Scott and Jim really go above and beyond to develop, motivate and encourage each player.  The players were all very polite, dedicated and each one put everything they had into playing their hardest for the team and lifting each other up when one had a bad outing.  I attribute that to the fantastic coaching!  Jake, my husband and I keep saying we wished we'd been on this team years ago."
